This policy explains what personal data Legacy Threads collects through legacythreads.in, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Legacy Threads is the trading name of Shyamlal Tech, a partnership firm and garment manufacturer based in Kapashera, New Delhi, India. We are the controller of the data described here.

What we collect
- Capability deck request: your name, email address and phone/WhatsApp number.
- Rate calculator: your name, email address and brand name, plus the product details you enter (garment type, fabric, quantity, trims and notes).
- Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp, and anything you choose to include in them.
- Advertising measurement cookies, only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner (see below).
We do not ask for payment details, and we do not collect special categories of data.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry, send you the capability deck or price range you asked for, and follow up about a possible production order. For visitors in the EU, UK and similar jurisdictions, our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To measure which Google ads lead to enquiries. We only do this with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to a marketing mailing list without asking.
Cookies and Google Ads measurement
We use Google Ads conversion tracking with Google Consent Mode. Until you choose, advertising and analytics storage is set to "denied" and no advertising cookies are stored. If you click "Accept", Google may set cookies to record that a visit came from an ad and whether you then requested our deck or used the rate calculator. If you click "Reject", those cookies are not set. We store your choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Google's use of this data is covered by Google's own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Who we share it with
- Netlify, Inc. (USA), which hosts this website and receives form submissions.
- Google LLC (USA), for email and, if you consent, ad measurement.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp.
These providers process data on our behalf or under their own terms. Some of them are outside India and outside the EU/EEA; where data is transferred from the EU/EEA or UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer, in which case we keep business records for as long as Indian tax and company law requires. You can ask us to delete your enquiry details sooner.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email rakesh@legacythreads.in and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Form submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and access to enquiries is limited to the people at Legacy Threads who handle them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
